Feel Better about Life and Yourself

Make changes to feel better about life and yourself.

Do you ever reflect on your life and feel sad? When you think of reasons why you are sad, do you feel as though there’s no hope for change?

There is hope. You can make changes and feel better about life. Feeling good is an option, you don’t have to feel sad, hopeless, and helpless. You can feel free, powerful, and happy.

Routines Make It Hard to Change

When you get comfortable in a routine, you may not feel like changing it. Even if that routine is not conducive to your happiness. The known always seems like it’s better than the unknown, right?

Unfortunately, that’s how many people end up living a life they really don’t like. They just settle and don’t ever make changes that could make them happier.

They get stuck.

To become unstuck, you need to do something different. That might be something you’ve done before or something new. Whatever it is, it should be something that would produce a change in your life.

Again, this can seem scary or just too much work. You’re comfortable where you are and it seems too tiring to do something more or different.

Do you want to feel exactly the way you feel right now forever?

If the answer is no, you must take action. That is the only way you will be able to move forward from what you’re experiencing right now.

Life Changing Exercise

Let’s do a little exercise.

What’s one thing you would really like to do that you know would make you happy?

Now that you have this activity in mind, schedule it. When can you fit this activity into your day? Is it today, tomorrow, or in a couple of days? Make a time for it – a definite time.

All you have to do once you schedule that activity is do it. It can be as small or big as you would like. There are no conditions on what type of activity, except it needs to be something you believe you would enjoy.

Continuing the Path to a Better Life and You

Once you do the activity, reflect on how you feel. Do you feel better that you did something different? Do you feel awake? Energized? Ready to try something else?

As you do more of these exercises, you will not only start to feel differently about life, but about yourself too. You may feel more powerful because you’ve taken control over your life and the way you feel about it. You may meet new people you like by participating in new activities. Friends are great to have, especially when you enjoy socializing with others.
