Seniors Consulting – Helping Seniors Find Contentment
Resolve Personal Problems
If you're a senior or you have an aging parent, you may have experienced:
- Excessive worry
This is common.
After a lifetime spent taking care of others, many seniors neglect to take care of their own emotional needs. They prefer to tough it out instead of seeking help for their personal problems.
For many of their generation, there's a stigma attached to psychotherapy and psychiatry. "I don't need my head shrunk, I'm not crazy!"
This is where the Personal Consultant comes in... not to analyze and prescribe but to listen and support.
Why Personal Consulting for Seniors
I'm a recently retired licensed professional psychotherapist. I have 25 plus years of experience in helping patients work through their problems.
Now I'm a senior myself, and I understand why some older adults may be averse to the clinical approach. I became a Personal Consultant so I can provide them with a peer who understands the challenges they're going through. One who offers empathy, understanding and objective feedback with the goal of solving problems and feeling better.
Private Online Consultations
Together, we'll talk in a relaxed manner, in a relaxed environment... not in a sterile, far-flung office but in your home, over the phone or the computer. Nobody, not even your children or your spouse, needs to know about our sessions. Confidentiality is assured.
If Your Parent Won't Accept Help...
If your parent or other senior is resisting your efforts to help, please ask them to read this short message, which is just for them:
After a lifetime of giving to others, it's your time to enjoy peace of mind and contentment. If you find it hard to ask for help for yourself -- if it somehow seems selfish -- then do it for your loved ones. Because a happier you is the best gift you could give them. Let's talk.
